Ive recently been in contact with Stonepoem, who for most intents and purposes had left this group completely ... (although up to this morning, he was still the owner of record - he was no longer a member, and could not post ... perhaps he "left" SU as well?) - anyway, Stone welcomed the idea that I wanted to pick up the ownership of this group, and carry it forward from here ... CH had sent me a message this afternoon, telling me that had been accomplished - and now here I am looking over the place, as it were ...
In order to give things a fresh start, I thought a fresh look was in order - so there has been a color change (inevitable, with a new owner? ;)) and a logo change ... for the moment, the old group description seems perfectly adequate - but if anyone has a suggestion there, feel free to PM me - my inbox is always open!
I went through and deleted what appeared to be irrelevant links in the sites section - if anyone who put one there feels they really wanted a link there- PM me for that too ... I have a record of what was there, and will certainly consider putting anything back that Ive taken off ...
Also, since the last post in any of the threads was August of last year, and the post before that over a year ago - I thought it appropriate to start afresh there too - so the old threads are hidden - but I still wanted to give anyone access to them should they want - thus, Ive listed them below ...
If anyone wants to pick up on a topic from this list, feel free to start a new thread ...
hopefully too, someone will have something that they've been looking at in their creative life recently, and will also feel welcome to start a thread on a new topic ...
it seemed quite a shame to me, to have a group called the flow, all stopped up and ... well .... not flowing :D

Sponsor | | rumisong | Jun 7, 2007 12:01pm | One of the things I did not do before I took ownership of this group, was to announce my intention to do so here ... a few weeks after getting this group from the Orphaned Groups group, CH (the official SU/Stumbler interface Representative) had posted this message in the Orphaned Groups group - suggesting that may be "best practice" ... today - it is getting much airplay over there in Orphaned Groups and in an SU core thread ...
I do apologize for not thinking to do this before hand ... there is a chance that my taking on this group brought this to the fore (??) ... no one has said anything to me ... and I did get permission from StonePoem of course ... but I will freely give the ownership of this group up to any pre-existing member who had fully intended to see this group to a new place themselves ... please pm me if that is the case - and we can rectify any sort of "eddies" that may have been created in this stream ... |

creativity.... has anyone felt the need to be creative but couldn't get anything "good" out? like a writers block.. when this happens, what do you do?
how do you not get frustrated and just quit? do you try new mediums? |

no, I actually do get frustrated and quit ... its fun :D
but seriously, I have not had a "job" of making art ("creativity") in some time ... I left the last one, and "never looked back" (lie)
but, in the process, Ive seen that EVERYTHING is creativity ... absolutely everything ... yes, yes, all that "oneness" and "bliss" crap ... but, it might just be true - and Ive no evidence thus far to prove otherwise ...
so, does a "quest" to see this sort of "creative in everything" as something more than an intellectual understanding, free up whatever "blocks" might be in the way?
I dunno ... it seems the answer that comes to me now, is "how can it not?" ... its almost as if, as long as Im "blocked" - that is the simple indication that I hold creativity as something to obtain ... something that comes and goes, and not something that I and everything else "IS" ...
yeah, Im sounding like Eckhart Tolle here ... but it would be a sales job on this question, if I were to say it otherwise ... this is what Im actually seeing, this very moment ...
does it make it "easy" in terms of advice for a fellow artist - no, absolutely not ... in fact, it may even be far too cheeky and insensitive ...
OR, its just the ticket, and it IS what needs to be seen to free up a block? - how would I know? ... this isnt a magic formula sort of thing, its the nature of creativity ... to experiment with the entirety of life ... to free up the grasp one has on all identities - self image, and the images one has of others ...
in the very question, if taken to the heart - to its very core, may lie the answer one needs ... and not necessarily by the "answers" that one comes upon ... if they are not working, ask a different question ... just stay IN the Question, and OUT of the answers ...
this is clearly, the lesson of all "artists working in life" |
